4/16/2017 I want to make adjustments and give a better example and I will deduct all from Gross because I honor God I want to honor Him with the best which would be from my gross not after the taxes taken out net. I apologize if I caused any confusion but I pray you just make these minor adjustments. Please note it is based on your heart if you want to give out of gross or net.
We will use $100 minus $5 tax = $95
First, give your First Fruit (Terumah) which is 2.5% of gross, which would be $2.50 leaving a balance of $97.50. Second, give your First Tithe which is 10% from the Gross of $100 which would be $10 leaving a balance of $87.50. Third, give your Second Tithe which is 10% from the gross of $100, which would be $10 leaving a balance of $77.50. [$100 -2.50-10-10=$77.50] Four, give your Free Will Offering which is an amount you decide on. Then finally number five, give your Alms which is also an amount decide on.
- Terumah [2.5%] to honor the Priest (Senior Pastors)
- 1st Tithe [10%] to maintain the work of your church, support the Levites (Associates Pastors)
- 2nd Tithe [10%] goes to you and your family for your enjoyment
- Offerings what you purpose in your heart to give
- Alms Offerings blessing the Poor (Other Christians in need such as Strangers who are displaced in another area, Orphans, Widows)
If you have any questions about Divine Order of Giving
4/16/2017 Cornerstone Assembly of God is no longer a church Ed Nelson of that church has been promoted over all the South Carolina Assemblies of God. He continues to serve in this position while overseeing the work of Bellwether International. He is a General Presbyter of the General Council of the Assemblies of God, USA. Being in the financial field for over 20+ years and being in the company of biblical based financial advisors yes they would agree with giving the Terumah and your first tithes. They would also agree with giving your second tithes but in the financial world we would call it "Paying Yourself." Then after that we would recommend our clients to pay their bills. The Word states "Keep out of debt and owe no man anything, except to love one another" Romans 13:8 AMP. Then what is left over after the deductions for the necessities of life then you give your offerings be it free will and/or alms.
